PopCap Website

PopCap Website

Client: PopCap Games

The recent movement of the games industry toward mobile platforms meant that PopCap.com needed to offer a mobile-friendly experience. PopCap's previous website was a non-responsive e-commerce site built to accommodate a waning PC download business. Our objectives for the redesign were to create a mobile-first informational website that's easy for users to navigate and simpler for internal teams to maintain. My work involved: researching, choosing and implementing a responsive framework; art direction; design; front end development. I worked as lead on the project with fellow (awesome) designer Emi Matsumoto. The rollout of the new design is coming in stages, with content being migrated in phases depending upon internal priorities.

One of my favorite projects. This was a Facebook-based giveaway spanning 4 weeks prior to the winter holidays. Designed to increase social engagement and encourage repeat visits to PopCap's Facebook page, the app gave away a new set of prizes every week. It ultimately garnered 65,702 new Facebook page likes, exceeding our goal by 31%.
